a
rare
form
of
primary
upper
extremity
deep
vein
thrombosis
often
seen
in
individuals
with
anatomic
variants
involving
the
thoracic
outlet
and
exacerbated
by
repetitive
microtrauma
to
the
subclavian
vein
.
Diagnosis
can
be
made
with
ultrasound
and
confirmed
with
MR
venography
or
conventional
venography
.
We
report
a
case
of
PSS
in
a
young
male
athlete
who
was
treated
with
pharmacologic
and
mechanical
thrombolysis
.
