Multi-isotype antibody responses against the multimeric Salmonella Typhi hemolysin (HlyE) antigen.

of
the
different
stages
of
typhoid
infection

the

of

indirect
antibody
immunoassay

We
found
that
nanogram
levels
of
HlyE
were
sufficient
for
detection
of
IgG
and
IgA
isotypes
and
in
a
study
with
individuals
'
sera
(

the
immunoassay
was
able
to
distinguish
typhoid
versus
non-
typhoid
sera
.
The
overall
sensitivity
,
specificity
and
efficiency
of
the
ELISA
were
