[Neuralgic amyotrophy revealed by diaphragmatic palsy].
[neuralgic amyotrophy]
Neuralgic
amyotrophy
is
considered
to
be
a
form
of
mononeuropathy
multiplex
which
generally
involves
the
nerves
of
the
upper
limbs
.
We
describe
four
cases
of
neuralgic
amyotrophy
revealed
by
dyspnea
due
to
phrenic
nerve
involvement
,
with
asymptomatic
motor
deficit
in
the
upper
part
of
the
brachial
plexus
.
Phrenic
nerve
involvement
revealed
by
dyspnea
is
rare
.
Associated
with
neurologic
signs
,
the
diagnosis
is
evocative
.
In
case
of
an
isolated
attack
,
the
key
to
diagnosis
is
the
electromyographic
exam
.
