gene

Tumorigenesis
in
these
conditions
may
be
the
result
of
protooncogene
activation
(

MEN

two

losses
of
a
tumor
suppressor

In
patients
with
MEN

pituitary
tumors

protooncogene

medullary
thyroid

HRPT

are
associated
with
parathyroid
carcinoma

but
tumors
of

kidneys
and
uterus
are
additional
features

FIHP
families

parathyroid
carcinoma

diagnostics
for
CDC

HRPT

should
be
considered

as
it

for
younger
patients

exploration
of
these
hereditary
syndromes

light
on
the
molecular
mechanisms
giving
rise
to
nonhereditary
PHPT
.
