Phospholipase D2 mediates signaling by ATPase class I type 8B membrane 1.

One
proposed
pathophysiology
involves
aberrant
signaling
to
the
bile

sensor
,
the
farnesoid
X

(
FXR
)
,
via
protein
kinase
C

The
following
cell
line-based
studies
investigated
whether
phospholipase

transduce
a
signal
from
FIC

to
FXR
.
PLD

BSEP

be
blocked
by
abrogating
either

PLD

led
to
a

Similar

observed
in
freshly

Activation

BSEP
by
FIC

to
an
increase

An

activation
of
PLD

was
induced
when
a

These
studies
show
that
FIC

signals
to
FXR
via
a
signaling

PLD

PKC
